SALOON DRINKING RULES v 1.4

These rules are to be played at all times whilst on the saloon premises (including directly outside the bar - the snow square is beyond jurisdiction). Agreement must come from all participants if the rules are to be temporarily used elsewhere.

1 MEATLOAF

At all times, individuals shall drink with their left hand. This rule is to be enforced with ALL drinks at any time of the day. A call og "meatloaf" shall be made towards any individual(s) suspected of using their right hand. If guilty, the guilty individual(s) shall finish their drink that they have consumed in an illegal fashion. If the "meatloaf" call is made incorrectly, rule 4 shall be invoked.

•1.1   The use of straws to drink from is outlawed and shall result in the individual(s) finishing their drink.

•1.2   The only exception to rule1.1 is whilst drinking any drink that traditionally contains crushed ice. This would typically include Mojitos, Daiquiris and caprinjas. Addition of crushed ice to a standard drink does not qualify.

•1.3   The use of two hands is also outlawed and shall result in individual(s) must finish their drink.

•1.4   If any individual(s) is correctly accused of drinking with their wrong hand, but in doing so finishes their drink (and correctly follows the EG rule), the individual(s) must finish a full glass/bottle of whatever they were originally drinking.

2 EG

Upon finishing a drink (regardless of what container it has been consumed from), the glass/bottle/shoe must first be touched on someone elses shoulder before being placed down on any surface. Individuals failing to complete this activity will be required to obtain a full glass/bottle/shoe (replicating the full amount that said glass/bottle/shoe originally contained when full/new) of the drink they have just consumed, and finish it in one.

•2.1   The glass/bottle/shoe must touch the area between the elbow and shoulder of someone else. No other area is permitted.

•2.2   Any false accusations will invoke rule 4.

3 KNOCKED OVER GLASS

If any individual knocks over (the container does not need to be completely knocked over, mere spillage will invoke this rule) any glass/bottle/shoe (whether it is theirs or not) they will be required to obtain a full glass/bottle/shoe of the spilled substance and consume the entire amount from their shoe.

•3.1   If the individual(s) is lucky enough that no drink is actually spilled the rule shall not be invoked. If a dispute arises determination of spillage shall go to a democratic vote of individuals witnessing the event.

•3.2   If any individual(s) is caught attempting to forcefully cause another individual to knock ove a drink by any means, the aggressor shall be punished as stated above.

•3.3   The term "shoe" shall encompass all footwear including ski/snowboard boots, flip-flops, sandals etc. If the individual(s) are bare foot, a suitable piece of footwear shall be located for them to consume form.

4 FALSE ACCUSTAION

If at any time an individual(s) falsely accuses another of rules 1through 3, he or she shall incur the penalty that would have been invoked had the accusation been correct.

•4.1   Individual(s) cannot ask questions of other participants relating to failure to comply with rules 1 through 3. There can only be accusations or silence.

5 COINING

At any time only one coin can be in play, the use of further coins is strictly forbidden. The chosen coin must be vocally declared to all playing individuals before it can be used and if possible, the use of a foreign coin is recommended. If an individual has their hand/hands on their glass/bottle/shoe they are essentially "live" and can be coined (even if their glass/bottle/shoe is on a bar or a table). If a "live" individual is coined they shall finish of the drink, period.

•5.1   Coins can be passed on to other individuals, but the coin must first be put down on a surface first, to then be picked up by a further individual. Once put down though the coin is fair gme or any individual playing.

•5.2   If any individual attempts to coin another but misses the glass/bottle/shoe, the coon then becomes available to all individuals.

•5.3   If at any point and individual, purposefully or by mistake, places a second coin into another individuals glass/bottle/shoe, the individual who placed the second coin in shal finish their drink (and receive a bit of kicking from al participants).

Foot Note:

These rules are to b followed as a "fully inclusive set". Adherence to them will mean that all rules ad sub-clauses are to be followed without exception; individuals are not permitted to play by some rules and not others. Any individual(s) deemed guilty of "cherry picking" rules to suit themselves shall be deemed outcasts, receive an immediate loss of all mates and made to wear something from lost property whenever in the bar (or area that rules have been deemed "in play").
